LSS can be learned quickly and applied immediately in any type of organization - large or small, service or manufacturing, private or public sector, high-tech, low-tech, or no-tech!

They Laughed When I Walked Up To Present...

BUT THEN THEY SAW MY RESULTS...

For decades, LSS has been a proven step-by-step recipe for driving organizational excellence:

  • You Win: By building a track record of stellar results
  • Your Customers Win: Through speed, quality, and cost improvements
  • Your Team Wins: By building teamwork, better communication, confidence, and skills
  • Your Organization Wins: Through bottom-line results & strategy achievement

WHY LEAN SIX SIGMA?

Who makes a better meal:   (A) someone with a hot plate winging it or   (B) a chef in a kitchen following an award-winning recipe?    Who does the better home improvement - the guy next door with a stack of lumber, a hammer and some Red Bull or a carpenter with a full toolbox and blueprints?   So, who is able to drive better improvements, faster in your business?   Easy - the person trained in Lean Six Sigma with effective tools and a proven blueprint.

VIDEO TUTORIALS

Our LSS Introductory (White Belt) training is delivered primarily through a series of short, entertaining videos with practical examples everyone can grasp instantly.   Blast through the entire course in a few hours or come and go a couple minutes here and there as you have time.   It's up to you!

Module #1:  INTRODUCTION

Wondering what the heck LSS is?   In this module, a series of short videos and slides show you:

  • Where Did LSS Come From?
  • LSS in Action - a Case Study
  • What is LSS & Why Should We Care?
  • LSS Fundamentals & Roles

Module #2:  DMAIC

In this set of brief videos, you go behind the scenes to see how LSS projects are conducted using the Define - Measure - Analyze - Improve - Control (DMAIC) method.     DMAIC is a proven "recipe" for improving all types of processes and you'll get insider access to see what happens in each step.

Module #3:  LEAN OVERVIEW

The "L" in LSS stands for Lean.  Lean is its own separate method, but is commonly combined with Six Sigma to form LSS.   This series of videos looks at:

  • What is the Purpose of Lean?
  • Waste is the Enemy
  • Overview of Key Lean Tools
  • How Lean and Six Sigma Work & Play Together

Bonus Module:  DMADV

This bonus video looks at Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) by reviewing the Define - Measure - Analyze - Design - Verify (DMADV) method.     DMADV is used for creating new processes, products or services (while DMAIC is used for improving existing processes).    You'll see the basics of what goes on in each of the DMADV steps.

Module 5:  SUMMARY

This module wraps up the program and you'll see a high-level summary of what you have learned, review your potential Next Steps, and you can challenge yourself with the LSS White Belt Exam.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY...

Our students come from all sorts of backgrounds and organizations - here is what a few of them had to say.

This is a great introduction to LSS! Being self-paced, with the ability to jump in and out of modules makes completing the course easy and convenient. But most of all, the examples, narration and animation makes the learning experience entertaining and fun!

Brian Stacks, Quality Engineer, Metals Industry

I chose to do my Lean Six Sigma training through JCG because the program is taught to Motorola-level standards.  I found the online White Belt program to be both very well thought out and well designed.  The program exceeded my expectations and I have continued on with the additional online training.

Jo-Ellen Webster, Project Coordinator, Local Government Agency

I have taken a lot of management/leadership courses over 30 years, and Jeff has an incredible ability to break complex topics down into understandable ones then apply them to real life situations so they make sense.  He and his courses are all about helping you achieve real world results.  Great return on investment.

- Curt R., Commander, US Military

  • q-iconIs there is certification with this course?

Yes – once you have marked all lessons complete, that will activate an option to download your certificate.

  • q-iconWhen I complete this course, what can I say on my resume?

You can indicate you are a Lean Six Sigma White Belt.    (White Belt is considered the introductory level and is the first of several levels of possible LSS training you could complete)

  • q-iconI'm already White Belt trained - are there any other courses?

Yes.  Yellow Belt builds on what you have learned in White Belt and equips you to do smaller-scoped projects.    Green Belt then builds on what you learned in Yellow Belt and gives you the tools to do larger projects and lead a process improvement team.   Beyond that there is Black Belt training.

  • q-iconDo I have to know math or have a computer with statistical software?

Absolutely not!   Whether you are a PhD in Economics or can’t add two numbers together to save your life, this introductory training will be easily understood.     Yes, statistics is a part of LSS, but that becomes much more important in the higher levels of training.  No special software needed other than access to the internet, a browser like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, and the free version of Adobe Acrobat in order to read your handouts.

  • q-iconDoes this LSS stuff really apply to me?

All work is a process – a series of repeatable tasks leading to an outcome (most anything you do ending in “ing” is a process).   People get frustrated when those outcomes take too long, have errors, cost too much, etc.   LSS fixes that.   You’ll learn how to see all the processes surrounding you at home, out shopping or at work or school.   And you’ll have great ideas on how to make them better – making you a much more valuable person to any organization!

  • q-iconI hear I have to do a project - is that true?

No!   This White Belt introduction does not require any project, and there is no homework.    White Belt only requires you to complete the training, after which you will understand the basics of how LSS works, some of its unique vocabulary, and be able to recognize some of the tools used.    It is only in more advanced training that projects are required, and then only if you want to become certified as say a LSS Green Belt.
